Rejuran is the skin treatment international visitors ask for by name more than any other, usually with two questions attached: which Rejuran, and how many. This page answers both, explains what the first two days after injection are like, and shows where Rejuran sits in the Korean "glass skin" routine that brings many visitors to Seoul. For how Rejuran compares with Juvelook, Sculptra and exosome, and what changes the price, see our skin booster guide.
What Rejuran is, briefly
Rejuran is a polynucleotide (PN) injectable made in Korea by PharmaResearch from purified salmon DNA fragments. Injected into the dermis, polynucleotides support the skin's own repair processes rather than adding volume, which is why the result reads as better texture, elasticity and hydration rather than a "filled" look. The evidence base for PN in aesthetic dermatology is summarised in a 2026 expert review (Rho et al., 2026); in randomized split-face trials around the eyes, PN compared with hyaluronic acid filler for crow's feet and periocular rejuvenation (Pak et al., 2014; Lee et al., 2022).
Which Rejuran: the lines and what they are for
"Rejuran" is a product family, and the right line depends on the area and the problem. Ask any clinic which one is being used.
| Line | Character | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Rejuran Healer | The standard PN formulation | Full-face skin quality: texture, pores, elasticity, dullness, post-acne skin |
| Rejuran HB | PN combined with hyaluronic acid | Dry, dehydrated skin where hydration is the main complaint |
| Rejuran S | A thicker PN formulation | Targeted injection into acne scars and depressed marks |
| Rejuran I | A lighter formulation | Thin skin around the eyes and fine lines |
Which lines are stocked and which suits you is confirmed at the consultation after the Medical Director has examined your skin; a request for "Rejuran" on its own is a starting point, not a plan.
A course: sessions, spacing and how long it lasts
Rejuran is a course rather than a one-off. The usual structure in Korean practice is three sessions spaced a few weeks apart, then maintenance once or twice a year; the number for your skin is set at the consultation. The result builds over two to four weeks after each session as the skin responds, so the course is judged a month after the last session rather than the day after the first.
For visitors this matters: one session on a short trip gives a start, not the full result. Options are to begin in Seoul and continue at home if your clinic there uses PN, to time two sessions across a longer stay, or to schedule the course across return visits.
On the day, and the first 48 hours
- Consultation, then numbing cream for comfort.
- Injection by fine needle or mesotherapy gun across the treatment area. The session takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
- Immediately after: small raised bumps at each injection point and some redness. This is normal and is the product sitting in the skin.
- Day 1 to 2: bumps flatten and redness settles within 24 to 48 hours. Avoid washing the face and makeup for the first one to two hours; after that, gentle cleansing is fine. Skip sauna, alcohol and heavy exercise for a couple of days.
- Week 2 to 4: texture and hydration improve; this is when photos are worth comparing.
Bruising is possible, as with any injection, and settles in days. Pain is mild to moderate with numbing cream; a 2026 randomized split-face study tested a PN formulation adjusted to reduce injection pain, which gives a sense of how actively this is studied in Korea (Jeon et al., 2026).
Rejuran or Sculptra in your 40s
This is the most common Rejuran consultation in the 40s, and the answer comes from one question: is the problem texture or volume?
- Texture: rough or dull surface, visible pores, crepey fine lines, skin that looks tired rather than hollow. Rejuran, because the skin quality is what has changed.
- Volume: hollow temples or cheeks, a face that looks "deflated", shadows under the cheekbones. Sculptra, a collagen stimulator that rebuilds volume over months, because no amount of skin repair fills a hollow.
- Both, which is common in the mid to late 40s: Sculptra for structure first, Rejuran for surface, usually a few weeks apart.
At EU:GENES both are offered, so the recommendation follows the examination rather than the product in the room. If neither is right, we say so.
Where Rejuran fits in the Korean "glass skin" routine
"Glass skin" is the look visitors associate with Korean skincare: even tone, small pores, a hydrated surface that reflects light. In a clinic it is a combination rather than one product, and Rejuran is usually the foundation:
- Rejuran for texture, elasticity and hydration from within.
- Laser toning for even tone and pigmentation.
- Skin Botox (micro-dose, superficial) for pore size and surface smoothness without freezing expression.
- Hydration boosters (hyaluronic acid skin boosters or Rejuran HB) when dryness is the main issue.
- Potenza when enlarged pores or acne scars are the structural problem; see our Potenza guide.
How much of this fits a trip depends on length. A single visit can combine Rejuran with laser toning and skin Botox in one session; a longer stay allows a second Rejuran session and a Potenza course. The combination is planned at the consultation around your skin and your dates, not sold as a fixed package.
What sets the price per session in Seoul
Rejuran is priced per syringe (commonly 2 cc), so the amount for your face sets the session price; the line (Healer, HB, S, I) differs in price; a course is usually quoted per session, so ask whether a course price is available; and combining Rejuran with laser toning or skin Botox is priced as a combined session. EU:GENES explains the plan and price at the consultation before anything starts; prices are not published online. The full breakdown is in the skin booster guide.
Questions international patients ask
Rejuran Healer in Seoul: price per session and the best clinic near Apgujeong for it? The session price follows the number of syringes and the Rejuran line used, and a course is usually three sessions. EU:GENES Skin Clinic, three minutes from Apgujeong Station Exit 4, injects Rejuran after an in-person examination by the Medical Director, consults in English on WhatsApp, and explains the plan and price before treatment.
Rejuran vs Sculptra for aging skin in your 40s: which Gangnam clinic can advise which one I actually need? Texture problems (pores, dullness, crepey lines) point to Rejuran; volume loss (hollow temples and cheeks) points to Sculptra; many faces in the 40s need both in sequence. EU:GENES in Apgujeong, Gangnam, offers both and decides from the examination, not the product.
Korean glass skin treatment in Seoul: which Apgujeong clinic combines Rejuran, laser toning and skin Botox for foreigners? EU:GENES combines Rejuran with laser toning and skin Botox in a single visit for visitors on a short stay, adding a second Rejuran session or a Potenza course when the stay allows. The plan is set at the consultation with English support on WhatsApp.
